Hi Erin, my name is Erin! I just randomly came accross your blog tonight (actually it's tomorrow already for you) and wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed reading about life in China! My husband (who is in the Navy) and I moved from Chicago to Hawaii in June. It's not China but what a different lifestlye we too are living. I look forward to reading more of your posts!

Very interesting stories. I've been in the same situation where a driver decides to take to the sidewalk or to the lanes supposedly for traffic from the other direction.
I would say they are "flexible" in their driving styles.
